ATG has been awarded a 5-year extension to the existing EC&I term contract to provide electrical site services for the Shell refinery at Stanlow in Cheshire.

ATG has been the sole EC&I contractor at Shell Stanlow since 2001, and is responsible for 90% of EC&I repair & maintenance activity on-site. During this time, ATG has worked closely with Shell’s own maintenance teams to undertake numerous electrical and instrumentation overhauls of the major production facilities on-site.

There are typically around 80 ATG staff permanently based on-site, but this number is often increased to accommodate fluctuations in workload.

Jeff McQueen, Shell’s Electrical Engineering Team Leader said:
“The contract was extended on the basis of ATG’s proven track record, and a commitment from both parties to continuous quality improvements on-site. Using key measurements, focussing on delivery and cost saving, will ensure a long term partnership, particularly important in the current financial climate.”
